TextGPT Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 12, 2026

TextGPT is operated by Kick Apps Development, LLC ("TextGPT", "we", "us"). This policy explains what information we collect when you use the service, why we collect it, and who it is shared with. It applies to the TextGPT website and to messages you exchange with our phone number.

Mobile information and SMS

Your mobile information will not be sold or shared with third parties for promotional or marketing purposes.

All of the categories of information described in this policy exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties. We will not share your opt-in to an SMS campaign with any third party for purposes unrelated to providing you with the services of that campaign.

You consent to receive text messages when you create an account and check the SMS consent box on our signup form. Message frequency varies, because messages are replies to messages you send. Standard message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to opt out, or HELP for help. Opting out stops all messages from the service.

What we collect

  • Your mobile number, which you enter at signup. It is how the service identifies you and how replies reach you.
  • Your email address, used to sign in and to contact you about your account.
  • The content of messages you send us, and the replies we send back, including any photos you attach.
  • Usage and billing records — credit balance, purchases, and a per-message record of segments sent so we can bill accurately.

We do not collect your location, your contacts, or anything from your device beyond what you type into a message or the website.

How we use it

We use your information to generate and deliver replies, to maintain your account and credit balance, to send you service notices such as payment receipts and low-balance reminders, and to detect abuse. We do not use your message content to advertise to you, and we do not sell it.

Who we share it with

We share the minimum necessary with service providers who act on our behalf to operate the service, and with no one else:

  • OpenAI receives the text and images of the messages you send, solely so that a reply can be generated.
  • Telnyx and Twilio receive your mobile number and message content in order to deliver messages to your carrier.
  • Stripe handles payments. Card details go directly to Stripe; we never see or store them.

These providers may use your information only to perform those services for us. We may also disclose information if required by law, or where we reasonably believe disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of TextGPT, our users, or the public.

Chat memory and retention

If you turn chat memory on, we store your recent messages and a running summary of the conversation so that replies can refer back to what you said earlier. You can turn memory off at any time from your account page. We keep account and billing records for as long as your account exists and for as long afterwards as the law requires.

Your choices

You can stop all messages at any time by replying STOP. You can turn off automatic refills by replying STOP REFILL. To request a copy of your data or have your account and message history deleted, contact us using the link below and we will action it.

Children

TextGPT is not intended for anyone under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes and contact

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. If you have any questions about it, or want your data removed, please contact us.
